"THREE-MONTH-RESPONSE-SCREENING" (TMRS)
Although most alternative cancer treatments treat cancer as one disease, and many testimonials have shown that one alternative therapy cured many different types of cancer. However, it is also indicated in my 1000 tetimonials that certain alternative therapies are more effective in treating some types of cancer. For example, Bursynski's anti-neoplaston therapy has shown good effectiveness against brain cancer, Issel's therapy against bone cancer, Polymva and Protocel against brain, breast and some other types of cancer, Tianxian against liver cancer, Gerson therapy against melanoma, TCM in Shanghai Cancer Hospital against breast cancer.
Effectiveness of a specific alternative therapy against cancer is not the only criterion a cancer patient wants to know, the cost of the therapy is even more important especially when there are some other alternative therapies that may be as effective but much less costly. Although some estimates of the conventional cancer therapies may be in the range of $150,000 and the alternative therapies in the range of $30,000, conventional therapies are normally paid by the health insurance whereas alternative therapies are shouldered by the patients themselves. Therefore the cost of the alternative treatments can become the major factor in the selection of the treatment.
Most of the alternative cancer clinics implement three weeks as the duration of one treatment. From various testimonials it seems generally a treatment duration of three months should be enough to know whether or not the patient will respond to that particular treatment and hopefully be cured if it is continued. You may comment that the patient may not have that much time to do this trial and error method and you may be right. It is true that patients in stage IV terminal case may not have enough time but most other patients do have the time. Sometimes if the treatment is right for the patient, the response may be shown in three weeks or less even if the case is a terminal one.
I have been thinking for a long time how I can help cancer patients select the best alternative treatment within their financial capability. My recent webpage
AN AMBITIOUS 1000 TESTIMONIALS FROM ALTERNATIVE TREATMENTS (use back arrow to return here)
was the first step of my ambitious undertaking. My second step is a research program to select some of the best alternative treatments that are inexpensive and with plenty of testimonials, and can be treated without hospitalization (i.e. outpatient of a hospital or clinic with the care of a medical doctor) or self-treated with the help of a professional alternative treatment practitioner, The selected treatments will be used to make a preliminary analysis or an "educated guess" of the effectiveness of the treatment to cure the patient if the treatment is continued after the trial period of three months. There is a test kit in the market that may be used to test the effectiveness of some selected alternative treatments based on the principle of behavioral kinesiology. website: http://alternativecancer.us/ak.htm (use back arrow to return here)
I have no experience of that test kit, but if it is accurate, it will be a great help to the patient in the selection of the right treatment.
Following are the treatments that I have selected to be included in the research program. They are only the treatments that I am more familiar with, there are more that I am not aware of at present that are effective, inexpensive, and with good number of testimonials. I hope to include them in the future when I have more information.
(I) Treatments that may be self-treated:
(1) Protocel
(2) Polymva
(3) Tianxian
(4) CDA-II
(5) Essiac
(6) Hoxsey
(7) Cesium high pH treatment
(II) Treatments that need professional care:
(1) 714X treatment
(2) Frequency treatment (Rife technology and Hulda Clark treatment)
(3) Gerson
(III) Treatments that need hospital outpatient care:
(1) Insulin Potentiation
(2) Bicarbonate treatment
(3) DMSO treatment
(IV) Treatments using Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)
(1) TCM alone
(2) TCM + conventional cancer treatments or western alternative treatment
I have not included the Budwig's diet, macrobiotic diet, Ann Wigmore's wheatgrass, Kelley's enzyme treatment, and many other nutritional treatments because nutritional treatments may require more than three months to show effects. They may be included in the TMRS as supports to the treatment.
As you read this webpage you probably have your own idea of how this research program may be modified to make it more effective, but I can't wait for the good suggestions, collect and study them, and then come out with the final version of the program. This may take months or years to start the program. Therefore, with the possibility of some good suggestions that may be added later I have decided to proceed with my present idea of the research program.
The main objective of this program is to study the response of a cancer patient to a selected alternative treatment within the first 3 months under a treatment protocol. If the response is positive the patient may continue the treatment on his or her own, or transferred to another separate research program of clinical trial if available. Therefore, one of the criteria the patient should use in the selection is whether the cost of the treatment is affordable. For example, the cost of Protocel treatment may be about $3000 whereas that of some other alternative treatment that has more testimonials for similar type of cancer may be $30000, if the patient can afford only $3000 then the Protocel treatment should be selected in this program. It is my belief that more testimonials in a treatment of a specific type of cancer doesn't exclude the possibility of the effectiveness of other treatments with less testimonials of similar type of cancer.
Aside from getting the financial support for this research program the most difficult task is the decision on the treatment protocol. There are so many variables that can affect the treatment such as inclusion of a specific diet and other supplements, emotional state of the patient, prior conventional or alternative treatments, pre-existing illness other than cancer, and many others. I propose to start with (1) a minimum of the addition to the current daily activities other than the main mixture of chemicals, compounds, herbs, or whatever nomenclature used in the treatment (which I shall call the key component of the treatment), and (2) a maximum of the daily records of the patient's activities within the 3-month response trial period. This period of trial treatment is only a screening or preliminary test for the possible effectiveness if continued after the response trial. I believe that the mere addition of the "key component" in the treatment for three months without any other changes to the normal daily activities of the patient should show some indications whether or not the patient is responding to the treatment, which is the objective of this research program.
From what I have seen in various testimonials, I personally believe that Protocel and Polymva should be the first two treatments to start in the research program because they have been used for more than 10 years, have many testimonials, are very easy to use, and are inexpensive. A complete treatment that may "cure" the cancer patient within a period of two years if the patient responds to the treatment is in the range of $3000 to $10000. They had testimonials ranging from the early stage to late stage of the cancer disease and are therefore good candidates for this program.
The patients in this program will be volunteers from any country who have recently been diagnosed any type of cancer disease or a recurrence of cancer. They should have a professional caretaker which may be a medical doctor or alternative treatment practitioner to help them follow the treatment protocol and monitor the progress. The progress of the treatment may be monitored by some cancer markers, reduction of the tumor size or some others acknowledged by the conventional medicine. It is a requirement that the patient keeps a record of daily activities. The key component used in this program will be free to the patients. The protocol to be used in the program will be finalized hopefully by the end of 2007.
There is a research organization in the Philippines that plans to undertake this TMRS project. The program will start with the treatments of Protocel and Polymva. Details of the protocols for these two treatments will be worked out. The program may start as early as in November of 2007. Information on these two treatments and the testimonials may be found in the following resources:
Information on Protocel
Information on Polymva
Details are still being worked out and the research program is expected to start sometime this year or early 2008. It will be first of its kind in the world and will benefit countless cancer patients who need to turn to alternative treatments.
